| long-term interest-free loans (credits) and grants - IDA’s long-term interest-free loans pay for programs that build the policies, institutions, infrastructure and human capital needed for equitable and environmentally sustainable development - IDA’s grants go to poor countries already vulnerable to debt or confronting the ravages of HIV/AIDS or natural disasters. | Technical Assistance and projects - Capacity building - Institutional enhancement through expertise, studies, workshops and training. IDA’s support for projects aims at human development and poverty alleviation such as education, health, social safety nets, water supply and sanitation (44%), infrastructure (26%), and agriculture and rural development (11%).
